Regular Season Round 16: Dziki - Valmiera Glass 85-73

Round in European North Basketball League means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Warszawa where host PolishDziki (6-2) beat league's leader Latvian Valmiera Glass (6-2) 85-73 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valmiera Glass. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Dziki looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Valmiera Glass ' players. Serbian-Spanish guard Nikola Radicevic (195-1994) fired 17 points and 9 assists for the winners. Swedish forward Denzel Andersson (204-1996) chipped in 14 points. Four Dziki players scored in double figures. American point guard DaQuan Smith (185-1999, college: Radford) produced 15 points and Ukrainian Rostyslav Novitskyi (204-2000, college: Fordham) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dziki have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Valmiera Glass and Voluntari.
